This pattern was inspired by a pile of Charm packs! We all have a few that could made into something fun and useful! There are THREE patterns in one! A large tote for toting the bigger stuff around, a scoop pocket tote for everyday activities and a cell phone tote for those days when all you want is your phone before you run out the door!

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Large Tote: 12" W x 14" H x 4" D

Materials:

  • Sewing Machine
  • Large Tote: 50 Charms (5" squares)
  • Large Tote: 5/8 yd Fabric - Lining
  • Large Tote: 5/8 yd Batting
  • Scoop Tote: 28 Charms (5" squares)
  • Scoop Tote: 1 Fat Quarter - Lining
  • Scoop Tote: 1/2 yd Batting
  • Scoop Tote: two 1" buttons & two 1/2" buttons
  • Cell Tote: 7 Charms (5" squares)
  • Cell Tote: 1/8 yd Fabric - Lining & Handle
  • Cell Tote: 1/8 yd Batting
  • Cell Tote: two 5/8" Buttons

You Will Also Need:

  • Iron & Ironing Board
  • Scissors, Seam Ripper & Thread
  • Rotary Cutter, Cutting Mat & Rulers

Good Fun project  May 10, 2012


This was a fun project for a very functional bag. This is my class tote bag and it is nice and large to carry everything. This was my first time making prairie points and with 5 inch charm squares, it is very easy.
