Book Cover Pencil Pouch

Basic Skills Necessary:

  • Basic Sewing Skills
  • Basic knowledge in using a zipper foot

Pattern Description:

I needed a little pencil pouch to take my new sketching pencils to drawing class. I wanted something that could attach to my sketchpad so I wouldn't leave them in class (it's happened before) and I hate digging around my backpack for stuff. I had seen a cute idea for attaching a pencil to a journal with a little fabric and elastic and that sparked my idea for a zipper pencil pouch that could attach to any book, binder or folder with elastic.
You will have a great time making these pencil pouches, personalizing them, and using different fabrics (scraps are great). They take less than an hour and if you use pre-quilted fabric you can put one together in about 20 minutes!
You will want to make one for everyone you know!
