Pattern Description:

This versatile bag pattern is easy to make, roomy, lightweight and includes two useful sizes! Double the looks since both are also reversible! Works well with many fabrics - cottons, corduroys, canvas, denim, laminated cotton, PUL, oilcloth, etc.

This pattern gives you two bag styles:

Small size is ideal as a purse, carryall tote or mini diaper bag.

Beach size is perfect for trips out & about that require more room and depth. The design includes a handy inner pocket. This bag is terrific for use as a diaper bag. Using laminated cotton, PUL or oilcloth to makes it easy to wipe clean inside & out!

Point of Note: For the small bag pictured, a product called Texture Magic(tm) was used to achieve the sturdy "ruffle" effect on one of side. A how-to for using this product & achieving this look is included in the pattern instructions.

Instructions are easy enough for a sewing beginner & include full color photos.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Small Size: 11 inches wide, 14.5 inches high
  • Large Size: 13 inches wide, 12 inches high, 6 inches deep

Materials:

  • 1-1/2 yds (depending on size), double fold bias tape

You Will Also Need:

  • (thread, rotary cutter/scissors, pins, marking pen/chalk, yard stick, and, if using heavier fabric like canvas or denim, a heavy duty needle)
