My goal is to make sewing FUN and frustration-free for all who use my patterns. Aivilo patterns are written in everyday English, as if a friend were telling you how to sew, with full color photos illustrating the process step-by-step. Each pattern is tested by a panel of sewists of many skill levels - to ensure the instructions are clear so you can enjoy a frustration-free sewing experience. Plus, if you have any questions while sewing, I'm always available at firstname.lastname@example.org to help you.View all patterns by designer (42) »
These very easy instructions are great for those with basic to advanced sewing skills. This wristlet is so cute & very economical to make with just one fat quarter (or 1/2 yard of fabric will make 2 wristlets). Use it as an on-the-go wallet, and add your keys and phone for truly hands-free shopping. It even has separate cash and credit card pockets! An easy fabric covered button & elastic loop closure is a convenient way to keep contents secure - but don't be intimidated - there are no button holes to make!
1 fat quarter OR 1/2 yard of fabric. Quilting cottons work great for this project.
1 fabric covered button kit, size 1 1/8" (or any button between 1" - 1 1/2")
1/3 yard of light weight fusible interfacing
2 1/2" of 1/4"-wide elastic
Erasable marker or pencil
Rotary cutter & mat or ruler & scissors
Hand sewing needle
* 1/2 yard of fabric will be enough for two wristlets. You can also purchase two fat quarters and use pieces from
both if you prefer more contrast.
