Pattern Description:

This pattern was developed after trying many different ways to get the perfect size clutch. It is easily customized by the use of different fabrics, embellishments. You can also add a pocket or inset zipper pocket to the inside.

It is important when printing this pattern that you print it in LANDSCAPE mode and do not "shrink to fit".
The bottom of the pattern should measure 12" when the pieces are taped together.
You may sell items made from this pattern on a small scale but please include "Pattern designed by Diane Stanley" within the description.

Excellent Wedding Clutch  April 29, 2014

So glad I found these pattern. The bride wanted a clutch out of her mother's wedding dress, we found the frame, but no pattern until I searched Craftsy. Pattern was wonderful and work well. Thanks for sharing!

This was a really fun and easy project. Take your time with glueing and cutting the pieces out. I can't wait to make more. I think they will make great gifts!

Excellent I really didn't think I could do it  June 7, 2013

I was lucky enough to be taught this pattern by Diane herself at Sew South. With the fiddly manipulations and the glue I thought I was going to end up spewing profanity and having fabric stuck everywhere. Nope, thanks to Diane's instructions it worked like a dream. Looked professional on the first try.

Excellent Easy Frame Clutch  April 8, 2013

I made this at Sew South, where Diana Stanley taught this pattern in a workshop. Very Easy. I chose to piece my outer fabric, which is optional.

Excellent Cute framed clutch!  April 7, 2013

This pattern couldn't be better written and more easy to follow. Normally I would avoid such a project figuring that I would get frustrated and abandon it. However, that was not the case here. I managed to make one clutch in about 40 minutes and can envision making them assembly line style and knocking several out at a time. I've now purchased more supplies to make lots more!

Excellent Easy Peasy!  April 6, 2013

Having made this clutch before with a raw edge to be glued in the frame I looked forward to Diane's instructions with a completely finished edge for gluing. It didn't disappoint! Diane's pattern makes it soooooo much easier to glue and the with the finished edge at the hinge it looks so much nicer with this pattern!
Another cool thing is this pattern could be made without the frame making the boxed corners just a little bigger and it's an awesome cloth box!!! Great for a catchall on your ...

Excellent Quick and satisfying project  April 5, 2013

I was afraid of framed clutches because of the gluing involved, but I had nothing to be scared of! This pattern came together very quickly and step-by-step photos are very helpful.

Excellent This clutch looks so great and was so easy  April 5, 2013

This pattern fit the 8 x 3 frame perfectly and looks wonderful when done. My fabric was not directional so I placed the bottom of the pattern on the fold of my fabric.

Excellent This pattern ROCKS! Easy to follow and quick to make!  April 5, 2013

I had the pleasure of having Diane teach this pattern to us at Sew South 2013. The instructions were clear and easy to follow. Mine was made with left over cotton fabric from my nieces quilt. I will gift this to her with the quilt. I will be making more as gifts. Thanks Diane!

Excellent Gorgeous project with Quick Finish!  April 5, 2013

I loved this project! Especially when you want a quick finish with a great result! I can see making many more of these for gifts! Don't be afraid to add quilting or embellishment. I simply added 3 straight lines across my pattern and I think it really adds to the clutch!

Excellent This Clutch Rocks!  April 4, 2013

I was taught how to make this clutch by the Designer herself, Diane Stanley! She taught a class to the attendees of this years Sew South Retreat in Charlotte, NC.
This is an awesome, quick, and fairly easy project with instant gratification. It's definitely something you will get tons of compliments on, and would make a great gift for all of your girlfriends. It can be made very casual or very dressy/elegant based on the print/fabric you choose. I absolutely recommend this pattern!
