I just love designing blocks with spirals, especially those that form interesting shapes such as roses, hearts, or sea shells. Paper pieced spirals look complex, but the paper piecing itself is quite straight-forward and the designs unfurl before your eyes as you stitch!
The PDF Twisting Spiral Heart quilt block pattern includes instructions and carefully marked paper piecing sections to make a 6" (15.24 cm) block. If desired, use the convenient percentages table provided to resize the pattern to any of a range of popular block sizes.
A coloring page is also provided for you to experiment with your own color schemes and variations before cutting into your precious fabrics.
You'll need basic paper piecing knowledge. Pattern is for personal use only.
This pattern is time consuming but it's also LOTS of fun! It's fascinating to watch how the heart takes shape and how the colors work together. If you like paper piecing, you will LOVE this pattern! SO MUCH FUN!!!!!
