Pattern Description:

This pattern is lots of fun and works up quickly. It was designed during a torrential rainstorm on the Emerald Coast of Florida which broke all records - therefore the name. The quilt was made with Timeless Treasures fabric - Tonga Hawaii.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • 51"x 63"


  • 1/2 yd. very light blue for rectangles
  • 1/2 yd. light blue for rectangles
  • 1/2 yd. medium blue for rectangles
  • 1/2 yd. dark blue for rectangles
  • 1/2 yd. dark pink for rectangles
  • 1/2 yd. light pink for rectangles
  • 1/2 yd. melon for rectangles
  • 1 7/8 yds very dark blue for squares and non-pieced border or 1 1/8 yds. for pieced border
  • 4 yds. backing
  • 5/8 yd. for bindinig
  • Batting - twin size
  • thread

  • scissors, rotary cutter, cutting mat and ruler
