Pattern Description:

Quite Contrary is inspired by the classic rhyme of Mary and her garden. A quilt filled with flower blocks and scrappy patchwork that's perfect for a large wallhanging or a little girl's first bed.

Quite Contrary also features embroidery patterns by Wild Olive (wildolive.etsy.com)! Embroidery patterns are sold separately. Substitutions for these panel sections are included in the quilt pattern for those that don't wish to include embroidery.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Finishes at 48" x 75"

Materials:

  • Fat Quarter of Grey
  • Fat Quarter of Orange
  • Fat Quarter of Blue
  • 1/2 Yard of Red
  • 1/2 Yard of Coral
  • 1/2 Yard of Yellow
  • 1/2 Yard of Purple
  • 1/2 Yard of Pink
  • 1 Yard of Green (Suggested: Four Different FQs)
  • 2 1/2 yards of Background Fabric
  • 56" x 84" Piece of Batting
  • 2 Yards of Backing Fabric
  • 3/4 Yard of Binding Fabric

You Will Also Need:

  • Rotary Cutter and Mat
  • Large Ruler (ex: 6" x 24")
  • Fabric Marker or Chalk
  • Basic Sewing Supplies (pins, scissors, thread, machine, etc)
