- This quilt pattern is suitable for the quilter with confident beginner rotary cutting and piecing skills, including an accurate scant 1/4" seam.
Pattern Description:
Garden Tiles is an original quilt pattern for a geometric "stained glass" style quilt, written up in five sizes using easy strip piecing and rotary cutting. Make a striking queen, double, twin, lap quilt or table runner using this pattern. All five sizes as well as two block sizes are included.
This pattern contains a rotary cutting chart and illustrations of all strip piecing and quilt construction steps, as well as possible variations and quilting suggestions. My pattern testers loved their results!
Sizing / Finished Measurements:
- Queen 98" x 98"
- Double 78" x 90"
- Twin 72" x 84"
- Lap 50" x 62"
- Table Runner 17" x 44"
Materials:
- For the Queen Size Quilt you will need:
- 1 1/2 yds block interior
- 2 7/8 yds middle frames
- 1 yd grout
- 2 1/4 yds dark sashing
- 3/8 yd light sashing
- 1/2 yd zinger
- 2 3/4 yds border
- 3/4 yd binding
- 5 5/8 yds backing
- queen batting

I love seeing another quilter's version of my designs!
My patterns often incorporate completely original blocks, or at the very least new twists on standard blocks. I have three types of designs - folded back bias curves, geometrics using "grout", and tessellations. So far I have not incorporated curved piecing or applique, but that may come!
I have an engineering degree and am a retired geophysicist; perhaps that is why I love the geometry of quilting! I hope that you will enjoy stitching up some of my designs.
