I am just becoming acquainted with fusibles. I plan to appliqus your dragonflies on a quilt top. Also looking for fabric that will compliment the dragonfly.
On this page: http://www.quiltingsupport.com/free-dragonfly-quilting-pattern.html for the directions I go over some differences in my favorite fusible. I love heat n bond because it is SO much easier to work with.I absolutely hated working with appliques before I found this wonderful fusible adhesive!
How did you finish your edges?
It can be left as a raw edge applique or it can be stitched down around the edges with a satin (tight zigzag) stitch. It depends on what the applique is going to be put on and the type of fusible adhesive being used.
I have a question about your drawing. What do the double lines represent? I really like the looks of it.
The outer line is where you cut before you press the adhesive to the back side of the fabric. The inner line is what needs to be trimmed away to give you the perfect applique.
Oh, thanks. That's not listed in the directions. Are there tip and directions for this pattern. I just love how it looks.
The tips and directions should be with the pattern. Here's the link to them:http://www.quiltingsupport.com/free-dragonfly-quilting-pattern.html
