Thank you for the free pattern, this will also be my first paper piecing project :)!
Pattern looks lovely. This will be my first paper piecing project ever :)
Thank you for the pattern -- it opened just fine for me.
Phew, glad to hear it!
pattern won't open, disappointed as I really like paper piecing
As I wrote below, it is a quirk because it opens more regularly than not. After a few attempts, if you have no luck, email me at amybfriend at gmail dot com and I will email you the file. Thanks.
Thanks so much for sharing! This will be my first paper piecing project :)
Thank you so much for this lovely free pattern. I had no trouble downloading.
Wonderful! Thank you.
I can'tdown load this pattern!!!
Please just try again. I have contacted Craftsy help and they say that the pattern is fine. Most often people are able to download it but clearly there is some glitch. If you can't get it email me at amybfriend at gmail dot com.
Download button does nothing. I'm using Chrome but I've tried it in Explorer too.
I think that this is a Craftsy problem. I just wrote to them for help. I can no longer open it either or another free pattern that I just uploaded. I too tried two different browsers. It has been successfully downloaded hundreds of times before. Thanks for your patience.
I had this problem with yesterday's free pattern, but it works now. Try it again later.
I cannot print page 3 of this pattern. Any suggestions?
Sorry, I am just now seeing this. Email me at amybfriend [at] gmail [dot] com and I can send you the file and see if it opens for you that way.
What a cute quilt! A perfect way to use up some scraps. Can't wait to make it. Thanks for sharing it with the quilting community. :o)
I can do a test download without a problem and I know others have downloaded it without issue. Perhaps there was just something wrong with the connection at the time? Can you try again? If you still have trouble, maybe email Craftsy because the file is there and it downloads fine for me so I am not sure how to troubleshoot this.
this is a fabulous pattern - thanks for providing it free !
Thanks for the free pattern!
This does not work. Cannot download.
Thank you for this pattern. I love it! Hope to begin soon. I would like to ask a question to my quilter friends. Thru the years I had sewn lots of skirts, dresses etc and have lots of scraps. They are NOT cotton. Would you ladies use this type scraps for quilts?
As long as their about the same weight as cotton fabric. Or you could back them after block is finished with stabilizer.
Thank you for the reply! Now to go thru these scraps!
Sorry for the delay in replying but I agree, as long as they are quilting cotton weight you are fine. Also watch for things that will ravel too much with the 1/4" seam.
Thanks ladies! I actually downsized my stash and I am already regretting it! Most of the fabric was a cotton/polyester blend. Bet it would have been fine. All of the ladies I knew who quilted years ago are no longer with us to ask but I remember they used most any fabric available to them. They left behind very pretty and durable quilts. Lesson learned.
ltharmer390201 Great idea for the stabilizer. I think this idea may actually save a quilt top I made YEARS ago. Had no idea what I was doing but I put much time and effort into it. I used a sheet for the background fabric. Once I learned a little about quilting I realized it would not hold up as well. Think I will try and save it with the stabilizer! Wonderful to hear response from each of you.
