Basic Skills Necessary:

  • Basic quilting skills.
  • The instructions included in this pattern make it possible for everyone to be successful if you chose to hand applique.
  • The rhino can be hand or machine stitched or fused. Choose any method that works for you.

Pattern Description:

I love animals. The animals have such cute expressions. It was so much fun to bring them to life in fabric. Collect all nine and make a whole quilt. Use your favorite animal as a center block. Create adorable pillows. Enjoy.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Appoximately 16"x 18" plus border.

Materials:

  • Background fabric- appoximately 16" x 18".
  • Border material and binding- FQ-1/2 yd, depending on the size of the border.
  • Backing material- FQ-1/2 yd, determined by finished size.
  • e
  • Rhino material- Your choice of colors, best if fabrics are pre-washed.
  • Thread- colors to match applique pieces, background and binding.
  • Batting- Determined by finished size, plus 8" x 11" to create applique dimension. A low loft bat works best.

You Will Also Need:

  • C Jenkins 8 1/2" x 11 " freezer paper sheets.
  • Perfect Piecing by June Tailor
  • Print n Fuse
  • Roxanne's Glue Baste-It, please purchase the new accordian designed bottle. It makes application so much easier.
  • A pointed tool to turn the edge of the applique pieces.
  • Needle of your choice.
  • Thimble of your choice.
