Basic Skills Necessary:

  • free motion quilt
  • put on a binding
  • make a small quilt

Pattern Description:

sports, sports, sports! If you have a football fan in the family this is a quick and easy little wall hanging to make for them. It can easily be tailored to your soccer fans favorite team colors by changing the sneaker or border colors and can be embellished to fit as well.

It would also make a great place to pin any ribbons, pins or other memorabilia.

On the soccer ball you can use one of your "fancy stitches" on your machine to make the sewn parts of the ball look realistic and add bead or snap "grommets to the sneaker. Have fun with it!

This pattern is ready to download to your computer and has 3 pages of pattern and placement guide and 5 pages of tutorial with photos.

This little quilt will measure 13" h x 14" w but can easily be enlarged. perfect for a beginning quilter with some experience in free motion quilting. This would be a great place to learn and practice those skills and to learn about fusible applique as well.

I am more than happy to help with any questions you may have along the way and can suggest online videos to learn any of the things you would need.
