Forget April showers- it's April flowers! Brighten up a rainy day with these easy, fusible tulips. The two color, quick pieced background blocks make for a dramatic presentation!
We appliqud the tulips using the fusible appliqu method. For fusible web, there are lots of great products out there.
This pattern looks great all on its own, but it goes together so quickly you might have time for a little embellishment. You could use the blanket stitch to outline the tulips, or fancy stitches along the edges, or add some beads for a spring sparkle! On the mini quilt I added some beads along the leaves and it looked great!
Though you can just hang them without a hanger, the banner and mini quilt are made to fit Ackfeld Manufacturing's 12? quilt hangers. The mini trio fits Ackfeld's tri-stand table top holder.

Kate Colleran has been making quilts since 1978, and in 2003, she launched Seams Like a Dream Quilt Designs with Elizabeth Balderrama. Together, they design quilt and tote bag patterns a great way to put all of those fabric purchases to work! Their designs have been featured in McCall's Quilting and Quick Quilts, and in Quiltmaker's 100 Blocks. Kate's love of quilting and fondness for fabric shine through her lessons, and she looks forward to helping Craftsy students become their own quilt designers.
