I love all your patterns. So glad I found your site, Thanks for your design ability.
How sweet, thank you! It's truly my great pleasure.
I can not get this in PDF form to download. Please help.
This is a .zip folder with all the patterns included. You can also download the blocks individually from http://www.fandominstitches.com/2011/05/harry-potter.html#POD. Let me know if that helps. :)
Thank you for making this adorable pattern available to all. My daughter is going to go nuts when she sees it. Thanks!
I can not open this pattern as a PDF. How do I do that?
The files are all contained within a .zip file and must be extracted. If that causes you any problems, you can also find each .pdf file on sewhooked.com under Harry Potter.
What a wonderful pattern! My daughter is a huge Harry Potter fan. I am making this as a graduation gift for her.
Thank you! I hope you enjoy working on the project and that your daughter enjoys it, too. :)
I am working on it, and found some great magical fabrics to use. I set a goal on a timeframe of when I want to finish it, so it's not too overwhelming. It is an amazing pattern with lots of details. I know she will love it so much. Thanks :)
That's wonderful. I'd love to see your progress!
How do I enlarge paper piecing pattern to 200% to fit on 8x11 paper?
Sorry for the very late reply. To enlarge, I cut the pattern pieces apart and enlarge with a copy machine. You can also take them to a copy shop and have them do it for you on larger paper.
Would it be possible to have this fantastic pattern as a pdf as I can't open this as a zip file ! Thank you in anticipation !!
Hi Natalie! Each pattern is also available individually as a .PDF on fandominstitches.com or sewhooked.com under Harry Potter. :)
Just saw your quilt today, and it is awesome!!! I am a huge Harry Potter fan, plus I've been quilting for a couple of years now. Just completed my first ever paper-pieced quilt. I just hope I can do justice to your fantastic pattern. And thank you for sharing this very creative pattern!
I am a huge HP fan too! And I want to make this quilt so bad!!! I am a total beginner though! I am doing the hand quilting on my first ever quilt...I guess I need to get some more experience under my belt before I try this, but I WILL make this...some day!!
Since the Project of Doom quilt is a foundation paper pieced quilt, I would recommend learning how to paper piece before attempting this one. I highly recommend Carol Doak's Craftsy class. It is wonderful! There are also some acceptable tutorials on YouTube.
Jessica, I've had quite a few people jump in feet first as beginners. If you can sew a straight line, you can paper piece! Definitely work through a tutorial or a class and then give it a try. (I have a tutorial in my shop here on Craftsy.) The blocks in the quilt are a variety of skill levels so by the time you finish, you will be an expert!
Hi for some reason I cannot download pattern, I keep getting the message that saffari cant download. I do have the latest version of a dobe installed as well?
You did a great job. My daughter grew up ready Harry Potter and will appreciate this as a gift. Thank you.
