Skill Level:

small skill level requirement Beginner

Basic Skills Necessary:

  • making quilt blocks using triangles
  • applying borders and straight line quilting

Pattern Description:

I designed this quilt for my grandchildren using school colors with the school letter in the center. I was inspired to design and sew this quilt because of the upcoming sports season during cold weather. We were taking blankets to the games to keep warm, but I wanted to display our school colors and a bright, cute design to show off our TEAM SPIRIT!
Use your team colors and team letter, logo, or mascot. Or you can use your favorite pieced block for a center quilt focus. The center block is to be determined by YOU to suit your team preference. I have included instructions to make the "L" block as an example.
It is an easy and fast quilt to make and everyone loves it. I have designed this quilt using fabrics in two colors and also a five fabric design. The instructions are for both quilt versions. I chose to use fleece for the backing, which is so warm and cozy.
I hope you will enjoy this quilt as much as we all have.

I have been sewing since childhood. Quilting and craft sewing are my main interests. It has been such an enjoyment for me to have these great projects going on at all times. I can't go for very long until I am starting on another one. It is a never ending process. Thank goodness! I am retired, but have some part time work. One of which is a part time job at a quilt shop. I love designing ...
