Wasn't this published in a magazine?
I lovr swirlys. I want to do this one so much!
Is this hand applique? Or could it be done with steam a seam and just iron on the applique?
I'm a beginner quilter..... Is learning to machine applique very hard?
it turned out great, I put it up already, couldnt wait til christmas, thank you for the lovely pattern
Wow! I just LOVE this wall hanging...what an inspiration! I'm a beginning quilter, and I have never done applique, but I can see I'm going to have to learn that, too! Is applique a technique that is easily learned? Is is done by machine or by hand? I am in awe of this project and really want to do it someday!! Thanks for posting it!
Are the swirls for marking the quilting lines included in the pattern?
no, those are just a free motion swirl stitch.
So VERY beautiful - I just love applique. Well done!
:) Thanks so much!
i like applique also. This quilt is so stunning...I keep staring at it....Its striking !!!!
This is just so beautiful. Very good job.
Thanks!
OMGoodness!!! How absolutely exquisite!! I don't do alot of applique's, but this just took my breath away!! I can definately see with with bead work & bells, plus a plethera of embroidery stitching on it to accentuate this beautiful wall hanging!! GREAT JOB!!
thanks!! :)
This is very beautiful and I knew it was somewhere for me to find so after an hour of searching through my emails, Facebook etc I have found it! Did you hand blanket stitch around the swirls as I quite fancy this too!
Thanks! I used a machine blanket stitch. :)
I can see this pattern with hand applique and quilted with metallic thread.
I love this!!
This is absolutely gorgeous !!!! I just finished a queen size Christmas bed quilt but would sure love to do this as a Wall Hanging. Looks so difficult. Is it easy, medium, or difficult. Thanks, Kim in NH
Kim if you can applique this is not difficult. In fact, I really enjoyed doing it and thinking of making another one.
I just finished this wall hanging and it is gorgeous. I took some "artistic liberty" and added a swirl of multi colored metallic thread (a star stitch on my machine) across the tree so it kind of looks like a string of lights. I can't do the quilting so as soon as I get it back from the quilter I will send it in.
oh my goodness i REALLY want to see this! it sounds spectacular! :)
