Impress your friends with this stunning quilt, but don't let them know how easy it is to make! This dynamic quilt uses 3D flying geese with rolled back bias edges to create curves with no curved piecing. Create a medallion style quilt or let the blocks spin and turn for a completely different look. Batiks are recommended for this project.

Hi! I am Janet Barker from Calgary, AB. I have been quilting for 14 years and have been designing my own quilt patterns for about 7 years. At the request of my guild, I started publishing my patterns in 2011. My pattern testers, customers and students have been very happy with their results using my new patterns. I love seeing another quilter's version of my designs!
My patterns often incorporate completely original blocks, or at the very least new twists on standard blocks. I have three types of designs - folded back bias curves (sometimes called Cathedral Windows curves), geometrics using "grout", and tessellations. So far I have not incorporated curved piecing or applique, but that may come!
I have an engineering degree and am a retired geophysicist; perhaps that is why I love the geometry of quilting! I hope that you will enjoy stitching up some of my designs.
