Basic Skills Necessary:

  • You should be able to sew an accurate 1/4 inch seam
  • You should be able to follow simple piecing instructions
  • You should be able to accurately cut straight lines

Pattern Description:

The Stepping Stone Quilt was crafted with a jelly roll from Strawberry Fields Collection by Fig Tree Quilts. This quilt pieces together quickly and easily, with the end result being a lovely throw-sized quilt measuring 70 inches square. Measurements were taken after two times in each the washer and dryer.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • 70 inches square


  • One jelly roll or forty 2.5" WOF strips
  • 2.5 yards of neutral fabric
  • Backing - 4.75 yards
  • Batting - 75 inches square
  • Binding - 20 inches of fabric (8 x 2.5 inch WOF strips)
  • (WOF = Width of Fabric)

You Will Also Need:

  • Rotary cutting tool, quilting ruler, cuting mat
  • A 1/4 inch foot is helpful, but not a necessity
