Pattern Description:
I love this pattern because, it's fairly simple, very different and you change it up by adding or removing borders or by changing some of the black patches to another color.
All of those triangles are screaming for some free motion quilting and those big black corners would look great with some custom applique.
I hope you like sewing it as much as I enjoyed creating it.
Sizing / Finished Measurements:
- 72" x 72"
Materials:
- 1-3/4 yd. Dark green fabric
- 1/4 yd. Light green fabric
- 1/4 yd. Dark blue fabric
- 1/8 yd. Medium blue fabric
- 5/8 yd. Light blue fabric
- 5-5/8 yd. Black fabric
- Batting, backing & binding fabric of choice
- Matching thread of your choice
You Will Also Need:
- Rotary cutter & mat
- Paper for templates or template material.

I always wanted to learn to quilt, but found the idea very intimidating. Finally, about 3 years ago, I met a friend who taught me the basics during a one-day session at her house where me and a bunch of other mommies learned to make quilts for our new little ones. I've been hooked since then.
While most of my patterns here are blocks, piecing and applique, my passion is designing more free style custom quilts for friends and family with lots of embroidery and very large custom applique.
