This design was inspired by a visit over the summer to my hometown. I miss small town life and wanted to create a beautiful quilt that I could see hanging on a clothesline back home. I love flowers, and wanted a flower block that had layers of petals. I chose and x for the center because I love the way the color gradually crawls out the center of a real flower and fades into the petals.
This pattern includes 9 pages of detailed instructions and diagrams. If you have any questions, problems, or just want to chat about quilting, fabric, kids, (or just need to gripe about your husband) please contact me at
