I love strip piecing with my left over fabrics.
Everybody seams to love reds, oranges, pinks and yellows and I wanted to create a quilt that has a lot of things going on, but only one focus fabric poking through here and there.
People are afraid of large print fabrics. This quilt pattern shows how large print fabrics change when cut up into smaller prints.
This is a great BEGINNER level quilt.
The making of the blocks don't demand super accurate piecing. It doesn't even matter if the strips are perfect or straight because all that matters is that you cut the right size blocks from your strip pieced "stratas".
It is so incredibly easy and much fun to make.
You can use all the same designer fabrics or simply gather all your scraps and use them for a lap quilt. You can make the focus squares all different too. This pattern is yours to modify as you please and create your own version.
