Hi there! I am a chemical engineer/patent agent by day, a quilter at night, and a mom and wife all the time. I love my family and being a mom to my 6 year old son and 3 year old daughter. Combining my engineering and technical writing backgrounds with quilting has lead me to become a pattern designer. Designing, writing quilt instructions, and doing quilty math are some of my favorite aspects to quilting. The Shoo Fly Pie quilt is a modern take on a classic block, the Shoo Fly block which dates back to 1897. The pattern includes instructions for both non-directional prints and directional prints having a right side up. The quilt in the pictures was made using Maritime Modern by Riley Blake.
The quilt pattern is fat quarter and 1/4 yard cut friendly and includes instructions for baby, lap, twin, queen, and king sizes.
The pictures above show fabric requirements for each size.
I am happy for home-based businesses to sell items made using my pattern on a small scale. Please credit Cheryl Brickey of Meadow Mist Designs as the pattern designer, thank you.
