I love Santa! I have many, many Santas in my house at Christmas and this runner adds another one. He's a quirky Santa full of the fun and surprise of Christmas surrounded by Christmas trees. Nothing could be easier than this runner. Instructions for the 20' x 72" length are here as well as tips and ideas for shortening the runner to whatever size you need. It will even work for placements or even serviettes. Ideal for a beginner or as a present for a Santa lover!
Sizing / Finished Measurements:
- 20" x 72" or you decide finished length
Materials:
- You will need fabric for the background and appliques, batting of your choice and backing fabric.
You Will Also Need:
- A variety of threads for applique and quilting, a darning foot for free motion quilting

About the Designer
I have always liked creating things. I remember my mother sewing late in the night. I am one of nine children and mum would always be making new clothes, mending old ones or creating something that was needed for school. I loved to watch her at the machine, an old singer treadle, and she would talk about the fabric. I learnt to sew on that old machine.

I loved to watch her at the machine, an old singer treadle, and she would talk about the fabric. I learnt to sew on that old machine.
I love applique. The nuns who taught at my school insisted on the neatest most even stitches and I have carried their lessons with me and love hand applique the best. Watching the fabric pictures come to life is a joy.
Quilting came about from a picture on a quilting magazine that I thought was really beautiful and from that moment I was hooked. Here was a hobby that combined my love of fabric and sewing and the possibilities are truly endless!
