When I was teaching kindergarten we had a rainy day theme in the Spring and all the children came dressed in their rain gear and colorful umbrellas. For an art project we made colorful umbrellas and I remember thinking what a cute quilt it would make to have children and animals all dressed up in their rain gear and colorful umbrellas. This would be a cute quilt for a boy or girl. It could be used as a crib quilt or wall hanging. It would be easy to make it into a full size quilt for a bed- just repeat the patterns and add some cute borders. Red, yellow, blue and green are the colors used in this Spring quilt. The little boy is decked out in a blue raincoat with a cute little frog; and the little girl is dressed in her yellow raincoat along with pretty little flowers. Blocks of dark blue raindrops are scattered among the children in this adorable quilt. Its easy and fun to make. With 12 nine inch blocks and measures 40" x 49"

Thanks for taking a peek at my shop, KinderGarden Designs. I love making quilts, but my real passion is designing them. Designing unique patterns that would appeal to the imagination of a child inspires me.
I was in education for 17 years with a degree in early childhood education. I taught kindergarten for 10 of those years, hence the name KinderGarden Designs.
I have a beautiful little granddaughter Sydney, who has inspired many of the quilts I've designed.
I would love to see a picture of your quilt when your project is complete. It's fun to see the fabric patterns and colors that make the quilt uniquely yours.
