Basic Skills Necessary:

  • 1/4" seam allowance

Pattern Description:

Who says you have to use only 3 fabrics for Rail Fence? Use a jelly roll already to sew or you can use fabrics from your stash. This is a fun, fast and easy pattern to sew that's great for beginning or experienced sewers. Sew 3 strips, cut into squares, organize the way you want, sew and admire Ur own design! (Add additional borders to make a larger quilt.)

Great confidence builder for anyone learning to sew a quilt.

  • Twin 54" x 90"
  • Double 72" x 90"
  • Queen 90" x 108"
  • King 107" x 108"
  • Lap/throw 42" x 66"


  • Sewing machine
  • 1 or more jelly rolls
  • Batik fabrics or cool colors or solids or prints or combinations will all work great

You Will Also Need:

  • Rotary cutte
  • Backing and batting
  • 6 1/2" x 24" ruler and 6 1/2" square ruler and rotary cutter
