Patchwork quilt pattern features squares of fabric intersected by 3D stars, surrounded by a border of stars in fusible applique finished with hand or machine blanket stitch. The patchwork quilt pattern is for the autumn toned quilt in cotton fabrics, but it also looks great made in recycled wool.
I originally designed this quilt to use up a selection of ladies woollen skirts. I designed the quilt and intended it to be used for camping under the 'OUTBACK STARS', hence the name. At a later date it was made in the autumn fabrics as a project for one of the Australian quilt magazines and then given to my sister-in-law for her 50th birthday.
In the late 70's I discovered patchwork. It has been a wonderful journey learning the many different techniques and making dozens of quilts. Over the last decade I have had many of my designs published in Australian Quilt & Craft magazines. This year I have been busy making them available as downloadable epatterns. I hope that you enjoy making my wide range of patterns.
