Basic Skills Necessary:

  • use a sewing machine
  • use rotary cutter, mat and ruler
  • quilt and bind

Pattern Description:

Sweet owls snuggle together on a series of branches in this whimsical quilt. Create your own Owl Together Now quilt in your favorite color palette. Like rainbows? Prefer black and white? Are you into stripes or polka dots? Modern or traditional fabrics? Make it your own! With my "Applique the Easy Way" directions, even the most novice quilter will find machine applique work a breeze. Already an expert? My templates will accommodate your favorite applique method. This project is easy and flexible.

Pattern includes directions for a 34x40" quilt top. Directions for quilting and binding are not included.

  • background/binding 1 1/2 yards
  • backing 1 1/4 yards
  • branches 1/2 yard
  • owls: scraps or fat quarters of 13-15 different materials
  • moon: scrap or fat quarter
  • eyes: 13-15 pairs of new or vintage buttons
  • beaks: wool felt scraps
  • crib-size batting
  • thread

You Will Also Need:

  • rotary cutter
  • ruler
  • rotary cutting mat
  • scissor for paper and fabric
  • fabric turning tool
  • rounded tool for poking out corners
  • washable or temporary gluestick
  • washable or temporary markers
  • pins
  • iron and ironing board
