(7) Name: 'Quilting : No Fail Mitered Corners and Borders

No Fail Mitered Corners and Borders
No Fail Mitered Corners and Borders

Basic Skills Necessary:

  • Basic quilting skills
  • How to make a 1/4" seam

Pattern Description:

Do you love the look of mitered borders?

Do you dread making mitered borders or just don't know how?

Put that fear away because these are the easiest mitered borders that you will ever make!

Simple, No-Fail Miters. No more measuring and ending up with borders that are too short to complete the miter. No more cumbersome and hard to understand rulers and templates, just your hands, a basic ruler, a couple of pins and a marking pen.. what could be easier!

If you can match a seam to make a 9 patch block, you have the skills to make these mitered corners.

The instructions start you with a worksheet to figure yardage and then another chart to help you find the correct lengths to cut or piece together to get that perfect length every time. Take a few seconds to fill out the charts and then cut just what you need to any size quilt from Baby to King Size!

Super simple math! If you can add 3 + 5 and get 8 and 1/2 + 1/4 and get 3/4, then you are set, that is as hard as it gets. Each step is laid out for you, no guess work or calculator needed.

Actual step by step pictures showing how to construct a miter corner are also included.

Make one corner and then say "Wow! These are truly Easy No-Fail Mitered Borders!"

I am so confident in this method, I show you a super close up of the corner.. You can do this too, really, you can!

I would love to see your perfect corners, please post your pictures for all to see!!
