Pattern Description:

If you can make 9 Nine patch blocks you have the beginning of making this fast and fun lap quilt! With a little rotary cutter magic, it will look like you spent hours and hours making this intricate design, but it goes together in a flash! With a great border fabric, this can make a stunning quilt, but it looks just as nice with regular yardage. I give complete illustrated instructions for putting this together, as well as a choice between a mitered border or straight set borders.

You can easily complete this project in a weekend - perfect for gifts or just to enjoy yourself!

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

Ap. 59 x 59 depending on the width of printed border fabric

Materials:

Focus Fabric - 3/4 yard
Contrast (rectangles) - 3/4 yard
Accent (small squares) - 1/3 yard
Inner border (may be same as accent - 1/3 yard
Outer border - 1 3/4 yard border print with 4 repeats for mitered borders OR 1 1/4 yard fabric for straight set borders (may be same as focus fabric)
1/2 yard binding
Backing and Batting - you can piece the backing with three yards of 42 inch wide fabric. You will need a square of batting 62 x 62.
