  • you mostly are cutting out the images and ironing them into place
  • really basic embroidery skills

Pattern Description:

This will become a treasured holiday decoration for years to come. Count down the days to Christmas with this fun advent made from real wool felt! Each day has a pocket to fill with a little treat. This is a very simple project, using heat and bond and as little or as much stitching as you desire. We have used real wool felt to make it easy to applique. There is no need to turn the edges under! This is a great project to work on with children. Pattern with full instructions is easy to follow! The finished size is 33 1/2" X 37". A fabulous holiday wall hanging!

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • 33" X 37"


  • 1 1/4 yards of Black real wool or wool felt for the background
  • 1/2 yard of 5 different colors of wool felt for pockets
  • Lots of wool felt scraps or about 20 different colors of wool felt in a piece at least 6" X 6"
  • 2 1/2 yards of Heat N Bond Lite
  • 3/4 of a yard of red fabric for bias binding
  • 1 yard of batting for the center

You Will Also Need:

  • serrated scissors that are good for cutting wool felt
  • embroidery floss in colors to match for some embellishments
  • thread for your machine
  • scallop or pinking shears
