Inspired by a set of doodles in my sketchbook, King Poppy, evolved into the first in a series of fused art quilts about a favorite garden flower. I love the elegant shape of the seed pods and graceful leaves of poppies.
This easy to make design features a simple way of transferring the fabric shapes to fused fabrics. In this sample, the gradated fabric colors of the Asters Colorway from www.artfabrik.com is used. A lively green batik fabric serves as the background fabric. And even more detail is added with hand embroidery threads.
Collect all the wall quilt patterns in the Poppies series and bring the beauty of a poppy garden into your home!
Each month I give away a different free pattern if you order one of my Craftsy patterns. (Please note that if you buy multiple Craftsy patterns during the month, the free pattern would still be the pattern of that month.)
I really appreciate your interest in my patterns and hand-dyed fabrics and threads. Sharing with fellow artists makes my day!
