If you download the Craftsy app it will automatically go into "My Pattern Library" and you can open and view the pattern from there.

Hi Julie! I'm ready to start! I have a question - if I do the quick method for step 1 you say I need more jelly roll pieces...how many would you say for the lap quilt? Thanks!

Hi Meredith, you'll need 3 extra jelly roll strips.

When you click the download arrow, the pattern will appear on your computer or laptop screen. At the top left of the pattern, there is FILE. click file, highlight 'desktop' (at least that's easier for me to find), then save. The pattern then should be on your desktop. Don't do it on your phone. It doesn't come as an email. Just click the 'download' arrow and it will automatically download.

I can't figure out how you have done the smashing inside the block. Looks complicating. I love the look, and would love to make this for my 16 year old granddaughter.

I had so much fun making this pattern, I've started another one (Queen size this time)! I get daily text messages from my sister asking me "Is it done yet?" She loved Dion's quilt so much, she wants one of her own. :-)

I don't usually like to use 'lines' of fabric (or collections) so wonder if there are cutting directions for using yardage rather than jelly rolls included in this pattern. So before I order this I'd like this info if possible.

Hi, The pattern tells you how many of the jelly roll strips you need for each size. A strip is 2 1/2" wide by the width of fabric so its very easy to buy 1/4 yards of fabrics of your own choice and cut them into 2 1/2" wide strips.
I offer email with all my patterns so if you do need further advice once you have bought the pattern I will certainly try and help you. Julie

Hi Julie .... Thanks so mucn....I really like this pattern and would like to personalize it more than a pre-rolled jelly roll. I will indeed order this pattern. Actually, fat quarters would work well with this as well.

I love this pattern! I bought fabric "jelly roll" and was going to order pattern. Unfortunately the jelly roll only has 30 count . Can I adapt? No more of the fabric. Thank you

Depending on which size you wish to make, you maybe OK. The baby and crib use 14 and 24 strips respectively. If you want to make a larger size, just buy yardage of any fabric(s) you like and cut into 2 1/2" lengths. They'll all blend in together in the finished quilt

Would be really nice if they gave all the fabric requirements. I would like to know my supplies before I purchase the pattern. Anyone bought it already can tell me the backing, binding, border and the white background fabric requirements... Thanks

So, having no jelly rolls, I assume that it would be easy for me to cut my own strips to size?

Mack and Mabel on craftsy.com

Yes, you can cut your own 2 1/2" wide strips from yardage. The pattern tells you how many stops you need for each size.

Yes, it would be interesting to know the size of the blocks/quilt. I don't see where it would be partial seams (that would deter me a little)

Mack and Mabel on craftsy.com

The blocks are 8" (finished) and there are no partial seams - this is an easy pattern ;-)

Awesome! I can't wait to get started. The download was instant, which I wasn't expecting. This is my first purchase through Craftsy. I hope future purchases are this easy. The information looks complete and very detailed. Thanks so much.

Would love to make this for my future daughter-in-law Lauren. Can the layout easily be flipped so the block would look like the letter "L"?
