(7) Name: 'Quilting : It's Coffee Time

It's Coffee Time

Basic Skills Necessary:

  • easy quilting, basic sewing, applique, simple embroidery

Pattern Description:

This wall hanging celebrates sitting around the table for coffee (or tea if that is what you prefer). The mugs are a mixed bunch, just as the people who often sit together to enjoy it!
In my family, we meet at 4:00 pm for coffee every day of the week. It has become a family tradition. Perhaps you enjoy coffee during break time or perhaps any time is coffee time in your house!
This wall hanging is not a difficult piece. You can very easily change the colors and the time to reflect your preferences. The applique can be done by hand or machine. You could even choose to do this in wool instead.
Although you could choose to applique the letters, the instructions are for writing them with a paint pen and then quilting around them, as in the photo.
