Pattern Description:

This is a very graphic wall hanging with a wonderful verse of comfort, hope, and care! It is very visually "striking" with it's ribbon flower petals and bright colors. Colors can easily be changed by substituting the color you want for the yellow or by adding other colors. (An example of an alternate color scheme is shown above.)
This is a simple quilt to make.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • approximately 42" x 35"


  • Fabrics: 1 1/4 yard solid black (center panel and 3rd border), 1/2 yard black/white gingham (flower centers), fat quarters in 4 different black/white prints (flower centers), fat quarter of green (leaves), 1/4 yard checkerboard with 1/4" checks (1st border), 1/2 yard yellow/black with small print (2nd and 5th border), 1/2 yard solid yellow (4th border), scrap of white for bee wings, scraps of black or white to line flower centers
  • Backing fabric - 1 yard if at least 45" wide
  • Batting - at least 46" x 39"
  • Black binding, about 4 running yards if purchased

You Will Also Need:

  • embroidery floss - black (verse), green (stems)
  • polyester batting for padding flower centers and bee body
  • yellow and dark yellow ribbons (1 spool each any type such as satin or grosgrain)
