I was inspired by the beautiful fall colors of the trees around my house. It a fun pattern to make featuring a variety of quilting techniques to make the work more interesting. Even though it has a traditional look the log cabin are made with pieced blocks in the center instead of a plain one. The border is made with" log cabin like "blocks, with strips on 45 degree angle to give a weaved look.
The option with the 4 center blocks embroidered is on my web site

I actually fell in love with the art of quilting after I moved to Montana 15 years ago. After making challenging patterns designed by famous quilters I decided to try designing patterns of my own. I have been designing patterns for about 7 years. I initially made my quilts for myself and my kids, but I was encouraged by my husband and my friends to start my own company and share my patterns with other quilters. I also love digitizing. If something catches my eyes I try to put it on fabric or embroidery
