I am a published sewing and quilting author with several books and many magazine articles to my credit. My most recent book, How to Make a Quilt was published in August 2014 by Storey Publishing. I've written two other successful books for them-- The Quilting Answer Book and The Sewing Answer Book. I learned to sew from my great grandmother, two grandmothers, and my Mom when I was barely in grade school and I've been sewing ever since. I added quilting to my repertoire in the 1980s and worked for a major quilt book publisher as Managing Editor and then Editor-in-Chief for 5 years. Now I have my own business, designing quilts and tote bags and anything else that strikes my fancy. Go to www.joyofsewingandquilting.blogspot.com to see my projects and whatever else I'm up to. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you find something you'd like to make in my Craftsy store!
This sweet little bunny is ready to feast on two paper-pieced carrots in Mr. MacGregor's garden.
A folded napkin forms the carrot top on the left-hand carrot pocket as shown in the cover photo. Remove it and there's a paper-pieced carrot top underneath it, pieced right into the placemat.
Appliqued bunnies feature yo-yo tails and button accents.
Strip-pieced, piano-key borders frame the bunny-block placemat centers.
Pattern includes full-size applique templates to trace and full-size foundation-paper-piecing templates for the carrots and carrot tops.
Also includes a page of paper-piecing tips and how-tos.
