Homeward Bound Mug Rug

from Alexa's World
(7) Name: 'Quilting : Homeward Bound Mug Rug
Homeward Bound Mug Rug
Homeward Bound Mug Rug
Homeward Bound Mug Rug
Homeward Bound Mug Rug

Pattern Description:

Homeward Bound is a very popular quilt block. I love the little hearts in the corners of the block. Using this block for a mug rug brings up the saying 'home is where the heart is'. This is would be a great mug rug to make for someone you love.

Using a high contrast print will make the heart shape in the corners 'pop'. The plain rectangle in the bottom right corner can be embellished with embroidery or a written message. Use your scraps to make this mug rug.

Please visit my website if you need a back to front binding tutorial.

  • One fat quarter focal fabric for main rectangles and backing
  • Three different fat eighths, one will be for the hearts
  • Two 2-1/4" strips for binding
  • One 8" x 10" rectangle of batting
  • Thread to match

You Will Also Need:

  • Sewing Machine and related supplies
  • Rotary Cutter and related supplies
