Basic Skills Necessary:

  • Basic quilting skills, fusible web applique, foundation paper piecing

Pattern Description:

Hearts express warm feelings and they've been constantly in fashion for well over a century. This little triple heart mini-quilt radiates love with simple paper foundation piecing. A button or a heart shaped yoyo with a button, and a bit of hand quilting finish it off.

Mug rugs are just the right size to hold a cup of your favorite refreshment and a small snack. This one will brighten up any table or desktop, or it could become a heartfelt gift of friendship or love.

The mug rug makes up quickly, and the pattern is very detailed. There are complete instructions for making the paper foundation pieced heart, instructions for constructing the mug rug with quick fusible web, and a tutorial for making a heart shaped yoyo. Helpful photos are strategically placed throughout the pattern.

You will also find templates for the three hearts, a paper foundation piecing pattern for the large heart, a template for the heart shaped yoyo, and a full size layout plan.
