Gyoza Dumpling Paper Pieced Pattern Example of Gyoza dumpling block

Pattern Description:

This pattern (gyoza dumpling pattern only) was inspired by the lovely Alyce who selected a Japanese cuisine theme for our paper piecing bee, Wombat Stew.

I love this block, it is fun and looks tricky, but in fact there are no scary Y seams. It would be perfect for a paper piecer with some experience

This PDF includes pattern pieces for both an 8" x 8" (finished) block.

Basic instructions and a guide are included. Each section is clearly labelled and a seam allowance is included for each section. You will need to print the pattern pieces, please unselect "fit to page" or print to "actual size" in your printer dialogue box.

A note on printing: I use an Australian printer with Australian copy paper. US copy paper is slightly smaller. I have taken this into account in the layout of the pattern pieces. This means that the pattern pieces are away from the edges of the page.

I am happy for you to sell handmade items made using this pattern on a small scale. In your item listing please credit me (Gemma @ Pretty Bobbins) with a link back to either my craftsy or etsy stores or my blog (details provided in the PDF). If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me :)
