Basic Skills Necessary:

  • This quilt pattern is suitable for the quilter with intermediate rotary cutting and piecing skills including an accurate scant 1/4" seam.

Pattern Description:

Do you love stained glass quilts? Garden Wall is an original quilt pattern for a large lap quilt using six large geometric "stained glass" blocks. The grout is all pieced; there is no bias tape used in the construction of this quilt.

Choose a colour-way and collect fabrics in a variety of shades from light to dark; batiks or tone on tone prints work well. Extra shades may be used to add interest if you choose a pieced border.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • 62" x 73" large lap quilt

  • 6" x 3" scrap inner 1 fabric
  • 1/4 yd / .3 m inner 2 fabric
  • 1/4 yd / .3 m middle fabric
