Pattern Description:
This cute wall hanging or table topper was designed for a Christmas in July trunk show. Since we were designing Holiday projects in the heat of summer, the summer fun color-way evolved. Lovely flowers, summer and winter were the inspiration. I hope you enjoy your new Fleur de Solstice as much as I enjoyed designing it for you. The Jazz Cat and I thank you for sewing with us and hope to see you again soon.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:
- Approximately 33" square
Materials:
- Cotton Quilting Fabric:
- Color 1: 1/2 yard (alt flower sections, some inner border pieces)
- Color 2: 1/2 yard (alt flower sections, some inner border pieces)
- Color 3: Fat qtr (triangle ends - green in pictures)
- Color 4: Fat qtr (corner triangles, second inner border)
- Color 5: 1/3 Yard (outer border)
- Color 6: 1/4 yard (binding)
- Backing: 1 yard
- Batting: 37" square
- Optional embellishment items: scraps for yo-yo's, fabric for leaves (two 8" x 11" pieces), 8" x 11" steam-a-seam, Clover yo-yo templates (large and medium), assorted buttons or large beads
You Will Also Need:
- Neutral thread for piecing
- Matching or contrasting thread for quilting
- Sewing machine - 1/4" piecing foot and walking foot helpful
- Rotary cutter / cutting mat
- 6" x 24" acrylic quilter's ruler
- 12" OR 12-1/2" acrylic quilter's square-up ruler
- General sewing supplies: straight pins, scissors, pencil or marker, seam ripper, hand sewing needles, thimble, etc.

Irene Huffman primarily designs quilts, both large and small. She has recently introduced a pattern line called "My Perfect Quilt Size" (MPQS) which gives yardage, cutting, and piecing instructions for quilt designs from table topper, various table and bed runners, through lap sized to king sized quilts . . . all in a single pattern for a single price! She loves simple piecing that looks complex!
Dawna Sanders designs lovely, cheerful quilts, often multi-sized (MPQS) and frequently in the modern style.
Patricia J. Minich designs inspired purses and bags for all occasions. Her designs are fresh and original and most often contain pockets for carrying all your important "stuff". Her bag, "Courtney" was a Hoffman Challenge finalist in 2009 and was part of the traveling Hoffman show.
Courtenay Hughes is an embroidery artist extraordinaire! Her current offerings with Jazz Cat focus on lovely Colorado designs including our state flower, the Columbine!
