Happy 2013!
I'm so excited about my "Scrap Happy Sampler' - FEBRUARY Block of the Month!
January's block was a Scrappy Lone Star pieced block.
February is all about english paper piecing and hexagon flowers!
I hope you love this fun sampler quilt... I've always been drawn to scrappy looking quilts. When I look at my completed quilt it makes me think of all the projects those scraps came from - it's almost like a memory quilt to me. So use up those scraps or work with some new ones!
Every month I'll post a new sampler block and you will see your quilt come to life over the next 12 months. Work at your own pace and on your own time. You will have a chance to complete blocks using a different pattern and or technique each month.
As a thank you to my craftsy followers I will post the current block of the month for free! When the month ends the block pattern will be $3 and the new block of the month block will be free.
Be sure to read the blog news article for more tips and a hexagon template give away!
Thanks so much for checking this out and Let's get Scrap Happy!

When I graduated, my parents bought me my own sewing machine and I caught the quilting 'bug'. With two very talented grandmothers before me who held such talents as knitting, sewing and painting, as well as grandfathers who were master craftsmen it's no surprise I was destined to create! I can remember intently watching Granny at the sewing machine, and holding Mum's yarn for her, feeling so special to be part of the process. They passed onto me the love of a handmade item.
