Featured Fabric Shadows Quilt

from suQuilt
(7) Name: 'Quilting : Featured Fabric Shadows Quilt
Featured Fabric Shadows Quilt

Basic Skills Necessary:

  • Rotary cutting, basic quilt construction (basting, quilting, binding)

Pattern Description:

I collected some Australian fabrics on a couple of trips and wanted a simple way to display them in large pieces (4"x4" and 4"x6"). I like the 3-D look to this design.
It would also look great with another type of fabric collection, like Halloween or Christmas or any other special collection (from a trip, like mine was perhaps).
Construction is simple enough for a beginner and fast enough for advanced. Strip pieced rotary cutting is the main technique used.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Finished size: 35" X 41"

  • Rotary cutting supplies, Basic sewing supplies, sewing machine, 1.25 yds featured fabric, 1.25 yds light fabric, 1 yd dark fabric, 1.5 yds backing fabric,39"X45" batting.
