The Elizabethan Star block is adapted from a circa Civil War period quilt purchased at Goodwill in the early 1990s by our friend Liz.
The original quilt has a pretty complicated block, all hand pieced by the maker.
Finding no record of this variation of the Rolling Star block,
the block was redrafted to eliminate all the inset piecing. That makes this beautiful, complicated looking quilt quite easy to piece!
Plus, setting the blocks on point and omitting the alternate plain block sets off a lively secondary pattern. We hope you'll enjoy making this lovely quilt.
Th Elizabethan Star is available in two sizes 60" Square or 84" Square.
This pattern has been tested and made by lots of quilters. Along with some quick piecing techniques, it's fun to make and easy to follow.
