I have downloaded the pattern and am planning on making the 30 block throw. Being new to patchwork and this being my first project I have been studying the pattern hard before starting. Two things have confused me! 1) 4 x 7" squares from each of the 8 coloured fabrics = 32 x 7" squares - but only 30 cut from the background fabric? 2) the 32 coloured 7" squares joined to the 30 (32?) background squares then cut into quarters = 128 half square triangles. But the 30 blocks each contain 2 half square triangles = 60 in total! What do I need the other 68 for? Am I missing something?!

Hi Kirstin, thanks for the question, you're absolutely right, that doesn't make much sense, does it! There should be 16 from the background color (which will ultimately yield 32 HSTs but there isn't a way to get just the 30 we need, so we'll have a few extras), and then from each of your four red prints and four navy prints, you'll need 2 squares (for a total of 8 in each color). Thank you for letting me know about the problem, I'm updating the pattern right now!
