I have always loved this pattern, But quite new to quilting. Just one question. How hard would this pattern be to make and does anyone know of any tutorials to show how to do it. Thanks

Double Wedding Ring is generally considered an "advanced" pattern, I think primarily because of all the curved seams and the "Y" seams. If you Google "Double Wedding Ring Tutorial," I think you may find some helpful resources.

Craftsy has one that is excellent. Shows you how to make it with three different methods. I bought it when I bought my downton Abby double wedding ring quilt kit. It will be my winter project.

I am thinking of purchasing this pattern, but what is the finish size?

Depending on how many units you make, it can range in size from approx 30" x 30" (2 x 2 units) to 104" x 104" (8 x 8 units) or even larger. Each additional unit adds about 12-1/2" to the size of the quilt. So a quilt 3 x 3 units would be about 42-1/2" x 42-1/2". I hope that helps.

I was very disappointed to find that there are no fabric requirements included for this pattern.

When I made this quilt in the 6-unit by 6-unit size, I think I bought about 1 yard of each of 2 colors for the "four patches" where the circles intersect. For the arcs, I used fabric from my stash, cutting squares about 1-1/2". For the white template-cut pieces, one yard of fabric is sufficient for 6 units.

Oops! Instead of 1-1/2" squares, they should be 3". Don't know what I was thinking! :-/
