It's magical December, and the silhouette children are busily helping to decorate the house and get everything set up for Christmas. Holiday music plays in the background as the boy hangs ornaments on the tree. The girl is bringing wrapped Christmas presents - too many at once, it appears. Her pooch isn't helping one bit! This is no time to beg for attention! Everything is about to topple!
For the December silhouettes I've added a bonus pattern for a small wall hanging or table topper. Enlarged images from the two mug rugs are combined into one scene. This is just a small thank you, a tiny Christmas gift for those of you who like my silhouettes.
Mug rugs and wall hanging are all quickly stitched with fusible web applique. The mug rugs tossed on a desk or a table by your chair are just the right size for holding a cup of something hot and a Christmas cookie or two. The larger piece can hang on a wall or brighten the top of a table. Made in colorful holiday fabrics, the three pieces will add a bit of holiday cheer to your home.
I've had so many questions about the fabric I used. The fabric is Blitzen by Basic Gray for Moda.
The pattern contains detailed instructions for mug rugs and for the wall hanging and is filled with photographs. Full size templates in both sizes are included.

Since retiring from my teaching career I've discovered that there is life outside of the classroom! I spend parts of most of my days indulging in my favorite hobbies of quilting and sewing. I started designing patterns as an experiment, and no one was more surprised than I was to find that other people liked my little designs. I try to write my patterns in such a way that beginning quilters can follow them. I include lots of details, photos, and little informative notes, so even if they look complicated, the instructions should be easy to follow.
