This innovative quilt features Scarlett's Celtic Crystals block as a center medallion and has a border design using Scarlett's new technique of Interlacing Lattices for the border. Choose to hand applique or machine applique this beautiful quilt. Directions for both methods are given, so you can follow the instructions for the method that you wish to use. Two techniques for making your own bias tape are also included, since Scarlett prefers to use different types of bias depending on whether she wants to hand applique or machine applique her Celtic knotwork.
The inset spaces in the center knot design are big enough to show off a large scale print, with fussy cutting of the print to fit each space as it is oriented in the design. Use that gorgeous fabric with your favorite design without cutting up the images! There are four 4 1/2" x 8" curved rectangles , four 5" rounded off squares and one 6" center in the large Celtic knot block, plus thirty-six 3" squares in the Interlacing Lattice border.
Extra templates are given for making rounded loops with the Crystallized Celtic knot. Mix and match the pointed loops with the rounded loops!

Until further notice, customers living in the countries belonging to the European Union will not be able to purchase e-patterns from Scarlett because of the new VAT digital goods law that went into effect on January 1st. Any attempt to pay for e-patterns through PayPal will result in an error message for EU customers. All EU countries are blocked out.
All other international customers may purchase e-patterns without any problems. Scarlett is sorry for this necessary restriction, but the new VAT law is far too cumbersome for her to deal with for her independent pattern business.
Well known for her Celtic knotwork designs for applique, sashiko, embroidery and quilting, Scarlett also enjoys designing delightful scrap quilts based on traditional patterns. She brings a unique perspective to these redesigned classic patchwork patterns, keeping the vintage look but using easier techniques for the construction.
All of Scarlett's e-patterns contain clickable links to Galleries showing more samples of each design and pictures of completed projects made by quilters who have purchased her patterns. Links are also provided for you to buy specialty notions like bias bars, fusible bias tape makers, preprinted Celtic knot blocks for embroidery or sashiko, thimbles, needles and other specialty items.
