Paper Piecing Pattern #220 Crayon Mug Rug Finished size: 10 inches by 6 inches This is for a PDF pattern.
This Crayon Mug Rug is the perfect pattern for the teacher, geek*, nerd*, artist, friend, mother, father, child, etc. in your life! (*to be clear, I LOVE geeks and nerds!) ;)
This pattern is ready for the beginner to advanced paper piecer alike! The instructions include step by step details and diagrams, which is great if you haven't paper pieced before. Instructions cover paper piecing, assembling the top, and making the binding.
This pattern also includes a coloring page, which is a great way to help you design your mug rug before cutting into fabric.
My favorite part of this pattern: there are three crayon tips to choose from!! New crayons, used crayons, and worn crayons. Add some personality to your mug rug by showing off which colors are your favorite!
I originally made a similar pattern as a teacher gift for my sons teacher. I wrote a poem to go along with it, which I have included as a print out that you can color and send along with your gifted mug rug. There is a poem for teacher, mother, father, and friend (as it is applicable for all).
Please share your finished mug rugs! I love to see what people make with my patterns! Instagram: use hashtag #fbpPatterns blog: http://fromblankpages.blogspot.com/2014/01/share-your-projects-event.html Flickr: http://flickr.com/groups/fromblankpages
